SA Homecoming 10/17/08

Saints will play their homecoming football game against St. Genevieve on Friday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Clark Field.  This game will be honoring the Class of 1948 football team who 60 years ago won CIF (four of those players went on to Cal to win the 1949 Rose Bowl Game).   Festivities begin with an alumni beer and taco party at 6:00 p.m.   Hope to see many of you there!

Saints Cocktail Party 9/20/08

The last 2 parties have been a lot of fun (see pics in past articles below) and as word gets out, more and more of our 60's classmates will stop by. Again it will be at the Gaslamp Restaurant and Bar on the corner of Loynes Dr. and PCH (right next to the Best Western Golden Sails Inn). Local '62 Saints gather for a luncheon

Several of our local classmates from 1962 gathered together at the home of Vicki Bescos Payne on 1/26/08 for a luncheon. It was a "magical" day and filled with memories of days gone by. We gave thanks for all our blessings and had a light lunch followed by sharing, one by one, of the past 40+ years, spotlighting the highs and the lows. It was truly an afternoon to re-bond! The chatter was highly elevated after our sharing. We committed to another luncheon next year. In the meantime, I hope we'll all keep in touch. Sept. 29th, 2007 Cocktail Party

Our annual cocktail party at the Gaslamp on Saturday the 29th was a great success. We had about 50 alumni from various classes from 1960 - 1965. The majority were from 1961 and 1962 which is to be expected as 1962 hosted this event. This is our way to keep in touch until we have another formal reunion...probably our 50th in 2012. Yikes...we're getting old! Do you recognize any of these Saints that were in attendance?

Summer's End Cocktail Party, Sat., Sept. 29th, 6 p.m.

Now that summer is here and your planning vacations, why not include our Cocktail Party as a way to end the summer. Last year's party was a great success and we're expecting an even better turn out this year. Email, this blog, and word of mouth are our only way of reaching Saints. So I ask all of you to contact your friends and invite them to the party. The party is hosted by the Class of 1962 and emails are sent out to the classes of 1960 and 1961 along with a few from 1963 and 1964. All are welcome!

Last years cocktail party was such a big success, we're having an encore event this year on Saturday night, September 29th,2007. It will be held at the Gaslamp, like last year, at the corner of Loynes Dr. & PCH. They have a wonderful outdoor patio that we want to fill this year.

So, SAVE THE DATE, and plan on being there. All "Saints of the Sixties" are invited. Spread the word as only emails will be sent to those we have and we're counting on word-of-mouth.

Cocktail Party @ the Gaslamp - 8/12-06

Our Cocktail Party was a great success and included Saints from the Classes of 1960 - 1965. Everyone there agreed that a cocktail party was a better venue than our picnics in the past. So, count on a recurrence for next year. Use this site for reference so you don't miss out next year. We had between 40-50 people in attendance and that was just from e-mails and word of mouth. The food and drinks were good too! Thanks to Kathy Schuck for finding the location.

ALOHA! July 23 - 30, 2006

...from Kauai where 5 of our classmates reunited for a week filled with fun and adventure celebrating the Class of 1962 turning 62 this year. Specifically, it was Donna's birthday! On this trip were (from the back) Kareen Wakeland Haskin, Rochelle Miller Giuseffi, Joan Gordon Ingram, Donna Bender Arnold and Ann Tack. Donna was a gracious host, living on the Island, and showed us some of the more local treats of the Island. In addition we went on a helicopter around the Napoli Coast, Kayak'd up the Wailua River and hiked to some beautiful waterfalls. Most adventurous of all was ZipLining through the canyon (actually 7 different ziplines). What a blast!
